City Hall - Location
Helper City Hall moved from this historic City Hall Building in 2017. Currently, City Hall occupies the former Wells Fargo bank building, donated to Helper by the bank. The move gave the staff working in the small, historic offices some much-needed space and light. City utilities and payments may be made in the new building, along with reservations for the River Pavillion, Civic Center, and Rio Theater.

Civic Center - Location
The Helper Civic Center, with its curving Streamline Moderne style, is a legacy of President Franklin Roosevelt's Work Progress Administration. Built in 1937, it hosts the Auditorium, Library and other functions. Big John, the 18-foot-tall coal miner, welcomes you to the Civic Center and honors the legacy of the coal mining industry that gave Helper life and once supported the communities throughout Carbon County.
Helper City Library, located in the historic Civic Center, is a small library serving our community, with additional materials available through the statewide library system. Helper Library also serves as a hub for community activities, such as Story Time, A Book & A Movie and the Dark Skies Observer’s Club. In addition to borrowing books and DVD’s, patrons may borrow telescopes and a projector.
